SPLENDOR Weatherproof silicone sealant is single- component, neutral-cure, architectural grade sealant specifically designed for general glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facade. It easily extrudes in a wide rang weather condition and quickly cures at room temperature by reaction with moisture in the air to form a excellent, durable, flexible silicone rubber seal.
Features
1. One part, room temperature cure, neutral, easy to apply.
2. Outstanding weatherproofing ability, more than ten years of service life. Virtually unaffected by ultraviolet, ozone, rain, hailstone and temperature eextremes (-50 to 100).
3. Excellent adhesion to most building materials, without a need for priming.
4. Medium or low modulus, optimum tensile- COM pre ssion restoring ability. The cured sealant maintains excellent elasticity and not become hardening or breaking up.
5. Be co***tible with all kinds of silicone structural sealant and neutral silicone sealant. Where to use SPLENDOR Weatherproof silicone sealant is especially designed for general glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades. It is suitable for glazing weatherproofing movement joint and sealing the joints of the non-structural curtain wall. It can form a waterproofing sealed layer to many kinds of glasses, coated aluminum, decorative metal board, tile, and granite without primmer.
Use limitations
SPLENDOR Weatherproof silicone sealant is not fit for structural usage. It should NOT be applied in the following conditions:
A. To building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents and green or partially sulfur zed gaskets or tapes, etc.
B. In totally confined ***ces (Silicon sealant need the water in the air to cure)
C. For continuous inversion in water or below-grade applications all the year
D. To painted surfaces, may cause seal failure as the paint cracking or paint stripping
E. To frost-laden or wet surfaces
F. Surface touch the food directly
G. Easily suffer mechanical wear
